According to a 2007 survey conducted by the Better Government Association (BGA) and the National Freedom of Information Coalition (NFOIC), Oklahoma has performed poorly in giving taxpayers access to public records, receiving 41 out of 100 points. The report graded states on response time, appeals, expedited review, pentalty criteria, attorneys fees and costs, and sanctions. No states scored an "A." Nebraska and New Jersey were the only states to score a "B." Most states did score an "F." Download the full study here. It is very interesting. |
